What about the SCIENCE?
Both hemp and marijuana are members of the Cannabis family of plants.
So…yes, it IS confusing. Know this: we aren’t talking about marijuana for pets. We’re talking about hemp. Hemp for pets.
The thing is, clinical trials on the potential health benefits of the Cannabis plants and the natural cannabinoids found in them are limited. Limited for humans. And even more limited for companion animals.
The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has not approved the use of Cannabis as a treatment for any medical condition.
Even so, the NCI has shared what they suspect cannabinoids may do for humans…
The non-psychoactive phytocannabinoid, terpene and flavonoid profiles extracted from industrial hemp that we use in Healthy Hemp Pet Company products appear to have health benefits when used as a daily supplement for companion animals.
Anecdotal evidence also suggests that phytocannabinoids from industrial hemp may help to support overall health by reducing aggression, anxiety and behavior problems though this has not yet been studied in companion animals.
